What we’ve been up to while you weren’t looking

From concept to final cut, we handle briefing, planning, shooting, and editing. Capture the essence of your property and share it with the world through our unique and bespoke films.

Working entirely from still photography and externally sourced video, including footage from the local tourism board, Uchi Media developed the creative concept, wrote the script, and built a cinematic narrative without an on-site shoot. Static imagery was animated using AI techniques and layered with landscape footage to communicate scale, opportunity, and context. The project highlights our ability to combine client assets, third-party content, and creative technology into a cohesive, high-impact storytelling asset.

With the hotel still under construction, Uchi Media filmed inside a completed model room and combined this with original scripting, Uchi-shot destination footage, and selective AI enhancement. The team crafted a cohesive visual narrative that communicated material quality, atmosphere, and lifestyle positioning before physical completion. The project demonstrates Uchi Media’s ability to visualise future environments and create compelling marketing assets under real-world development constraints.

With only 20 high-quality still images supplied by the client, Uchi Media created a fully realised film using motion design, AI-driven animation, and curated Uchi stock footage. The team designed pacing, narrative flow, and visual rhythm to bring architecture, light, and spatial experience to life from static assets.
The project demonstrates how limited source material can be transformed into premium marketing content through intelligent creative direction and technical execution.

Working entirely from client-supplied photos and mobile video footage, Uchi Media developed the script, narrative structure, and visual treatment remotely.
Editing, colour grading, curated stock footage, and AI enhancements were used to elevate production quality and visual consistency without on-site filming.

An award-winning filmmaker and creative director, Damien brings a cinematic eye, strong narrative instinct and deep production experience to every project. His work sits at the centre of Uchi Media’s visual standard, shaping how properties, resorts and destinations are presented to global audiences.

From luxury residences and hotel developments to lifestyle campaigns and destination films, Damien ensures every project has clarity, atmosphere and emotional pull. His role is not simply to make things look beautiful, but to make each story feel considered, distinctive and commercially effective.

Matt – Partnerships Director & 2IC

Matt brings global media, technology and partnerships experience to Uchi Media.

Having launched and led Google’s office in New Zealand, Matt understands how digital platforms, audience growth and commercial partnerships work at scale. His experience helps Uchi Media think beyond one-off production and focus on how content performs across YouTube, social platforms, newsletters and long-term digital discovery.

Leighton brings over 20 years of advertising, branding and design experience to the Uchi creative team.

An award-winning art director and typographer, he has worked with major international brands across campaigns, print, digital and identity. Chris – Founder & CEO

Chris is the founder of Uchi and the driving force behind the wider Uchi Global platform.

Having lived in Japan’s ski resorts for over 15 years, Chris brings a rare mix of property market knowledge, buyer insight, financial experience and brand instinct. He understands both sides of the equation: what agents and developers need to communicate, and what international buyers need to feel before they enquire.

For Uchi Media, Chris shapes the commercial strategy, client relationships and overall direction, ensuring each project connects creative quality with real market outcomes.

As one of Uchi’s earliest team members, she understands the tone, audience and rhythm of the brand across social media.
